The Amala Centre

Throughout life we are socialised to see the ‘truth’ and ‘reality’ in particular ways. We learn a particular way to see ourselves, others, and how to view our world. Often stories about people come before person-to-person contact. Often this process of evaluation is unconscious.

Like all services at the Amala Centre, our training and CPD programme supports the development of mindfulness and critical self-awareness.

The intimacy afforded by our professions makes our critical self-awareness an important area for personal improvement which in turn improves our professional competency.

We offer group and individual activities aimed to support an inner journey of critical self-reflection and learning in a supportive environment. Currently we work with professions including: social workers, counsellors, psychotherapists, counselling-psychologists, teachers, youth workers and life coaches. Training, CPD & Fee Scale details available on request.
